Central Music Boosters to host 5th annual trivia night

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign Central High School's Music Boosters will host their fifth annual trivia night later this month as a fun antidote to the January blahs.

The friendly competition intended to raise money for the school's many music programs will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, at Faith United Methodist Church, 1719 S. Prospect Ave., C, next to Bottenfield Elementary School.

WDWS-WHMS general manager "Mike in the Morning" Haile will emcee.

The event includes dinner beginning at 6 p.m., trivia rounds beginning at 7 p.m., and raffles and a silent auction throughout the evening. There will also be door prizes, snacks and soda as part of the registration fee.

If you register by Jan. 11, the cost per table of eight is $180. Registration after that is $200. Deadline for all entries is Jan. 20. Spectators who don't want dinner can join the fun for $10 each.

Answers are submitted by the team; participants don't have to answer questions individually.

For more information, visit the band's website at http://www.maroons.org/trivia or contact Jo Lynne Clauson at 359-8099 or joclauson1@gmail.com.
