Today: How bad was the ice storm that enveloped the area on Feb. 14-15, 1990? Enough to generate T-shirts that read "Ice Storm Survivor," which were sold to raise money for local Red Cross shelters. Particularly hard hit were power lines and trees, like the one blocking the westbound lane of Springfield Avenue in Champaign.
