GEORGETOWN — School officials said Monday they will seek public input on a possible school reorganization through a survey on the district website next week.
School board members from the Georgetown-Ridge Farm and the Westville districts have been meeting since the fall about a possible merger of the two districts.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm Superintendent Jean Neal said officials from the two districts developed a survey to gauge what the community thinks about the current state of their school district, what steps they think would improve their district, and whether they think the two school boards should continue to exploring a merger.
Representatives from the two boards have developed a survey containing questions about school governance, finances, curriculum, extracurricular activities and facilities.
The survey will be available on the district's website, http://www.grf.k12.il.us, from Jan. 19 through 26. Neal said that residents can take the survey from their home computers or can come to the Unit Office in Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School and use one of the school computers.
