Residents in Champaign and Urbana can report potholes online at http://www.seeclickfix.com/champaign in Champaign and at http://www.urbanaillinois.us/citizens-voice in Urbana.

Here are the most recent submissions through noon Feb. 18, as sent by our readers.

— Mattis Ave.

— Windsor road in Urbana is all but un-driveable. Starting at the intersection of Philo Rd and Windsor,  heading west the road is dangerous until Lincoln. Same goes for the east bound lanes.
The city of urbana has tried to “patch” it in places. But the problem here is that they are using asphalt to patch a concrete road. When asphalt isn’t pounded down properly to release all air, it expands as the temperature fluctuates.
So now on Windsor youe have to avoid not only pothpotholes,  but also large boulder-like mounds in the road.
Either way you risk popping a tire or ruining your suspension if you drive down this road. I suggest finding an alternate route.

— North Market from Olympia Dr to Ford Harris Road

— State Street between Hessel and Kirby.

— Where Hill Street and Wright Street intersect. Also the train track on Wright street is riddled with potholes.  The City of Urbana needs to start patching these potholes UP! They wouldn’t like it if we withheld our property taxes til they’re FIXED! grrrrh

— Windsor Road in Urbana, especially between Philo Road and Lincoln.

— On Devonshire, eastbound between Galen and Robert, there are two huge potholes!

— Mattis

— Windsor Rd between Race St and Philo Rd. Some of those will swallow your tire.
— Market St, northbound lane between Ford Harris Rd and Olympian. I actually got a flat tort last Monday when I struck a pot hole and my husband got one last night. Wheel bent on car which caused a flat. I saw a car Friday night on my way home from work changing tire also. I reported this to the City of Champaign Public Work last Monday.

— Wright Street, just south of Springfield. Southbound lane is full of holes.

— Airport rd off Cunningham

— Lincoln Ave in Urbana, between University and Race. North side.

— Neil Street overpass above I-74.  East and West sides.

— Windsor Road between Philo and Lincoln. North and South sides.

— Market St between Ford Harris Road and Olympian Dr. (Southbound right before the house on the left, LOOK OUT!) Huge pothole. Not sure it is a pothole when it become that large. Called the City of Champaign a week ago after my wheel was bent and gave me a flat. Friday on my way home I saw another car changing a tire. Guess what happened yesterday?  My husband was driving on this road and the same thing. Always front passenger. Very disappointed in the lack of response from the city. Changing a tire and being stranded in -0 temperatures is not fun or safe. Take responsibility for your city. Before someone gets hurt.

— Duncan road from Bradley going south all along that area to Kirby.  Mattis Ave Starting around Church street going North on Mattis.

— Windsor Road between Philo and Lincoln is terrible.  It’s just continuous ruts and bumps with no way around it.

— Windsor Road between Race Street and Clark-Lindsey Its like a wash board. No where to miss them.

— Lot J (Champaign City lot) located on Green St between 5th and 6th. What a mess!!

— Numerous potholes on Market Street from Leverett to Olympia.  In fact I hit one and caused tire and wheel damage.  It was necessary to purchase a new tire and have the front end of my car realigned.

— On Windsor from Lincoln to Philo is the WORST! They gave me a flat tire and I had to spend $120 fixing it. The city says they can’t fix it because its “caused from bad weather”. They should at least reimburse half!

— Hessel Blvd between Neil and Prospect Ave. It is crumbling.

— Kirby Avenue, traveling West between Oak and Neil. Windsor Road between 1st and Lincoln. Where shall we send our alignment and tire repair bills?

— MASSIVE pothole on Dewey Fisher road almost directly in front of STM HS.

— Neil Street parking lot Champaign, a few in the lot but especially at the entrance. It’s like a mine field.

— There are a couple of large ones on north Market St. between Bradley Ave. and the entrance(s) to Human Kinetics.
Also, there are one or two really large ones on Mayfair Drive just south of Kirby (between Kirby and the entrance to the gym at St. Matthew’s School).
Springfield Avenue - north entrance to Chase Bank (just east of Taco Bell)

— 57 Overpass on W. Bradley, both directions.

— Let folks know they can call the City of Champaign Public Works Dept directly to report potholes - they MIGHT get fixed faster!  (217) 403-4700.

— Wright St from University to Green

— There is a very large pothole on the corner of Washington and Wright on the right-hand side by stop sign in champaign.

— Campbell Dr. from Dobbin dr. to Kings Way. Frances Dr. By Rural King, Market St. from Washington to Marketview, all of Mattis Av, Prospet Av. All of Neil St. is that enough. I need my van fixed now because of the roads. I am going to have the city pay for it.

— W. Green St in Urbana - In the east bound lanes just before the intersection with Birch St. Then entire lane is like swiss cheese. It’s almost impassable.

— Airport Rd west of rt 45

I hit 3 or 4 HUNDRED on Windsor Road yesterday.... but the City of Urbana is more concerned with bicycle paths this week, with all of their top priority bicycle path meetings...

The Public Works director needs to be out there himself when they patch all of these holes.  I don't think that he has a realistic idea of what is going on out there.
