URBANA — An autopsy will be held Monday in Urbana for a Charleston woman who died following a crash over the weekend in rural Charleston.

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup said Deanna Parke, 58, of Charleston was pronounced dead at 2:07 a.m. Sunday in the emergency department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Ms. Parke was involved in a two-vehicle crash about 7 p.m. Saturday south of Charleston.

According to a police report, Ms. Parke was facing east at a stop sign on Bypass Road at Illinois 130 and was starting to drive onto Illinois 130 when her vehicle was struck by a semitrailer truck driven by Bradley M. Neff, 23, of Detroit, Ill.

Ms. Parke was first taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County before she was transported to Carle for treatment for injuries from the accident.

No tickets had been reported issued as of Sunday.

Northrup said an inquest may be held at a later date.
