Early voting begins

Early voting started Monday across Illinois for the March 18th Primary Election.

In Champaign County, voters can go to the County Clerk's Office at the Brookens Administrative Center in Urbana to cast early ballots.

County Clerk Gordy Hulten said on the WDWS Morning Show that election officials encourage voters to cast their vote before the day of the primary.

Hulten says you will be able to vote early at seven other sites around the county, beginning March 11th, in addition to the County Clerk's office.

Those addition sites are: the Illini Union in Urbana, Spalding Recreation Center in Champaign, Meadowbrook Community Church on Duncan Road in Champaign, Grace Church in Mahomet, Rantoul Recreation Center, St. Joseph Village Annex, and the Tolono Public Library.

Meantime, absentee voting has been on-going for several weeks where citizens can vote by mail or by going to the County Clerk's office.

Early voting ends March 15th, which is a few days before the primary.
