Weather spotters class rescheduled

TILTON — A weather spotters training class, sponsored by the National Weather Service and Vermilion County Emergency Management Agency, has been rescheduled for April 16.

The class will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 or 9:30 p.m. at the Tilton Public Works Building, 501 Mayfield St. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The class originally was set for April 3 but was canceled due to severe thunderstorms.

The class is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.

After the training, participants will be certified weather-spotters.
