CHAMPAIGN — Champaign County will conduct its next countywide residential electronics collection event this weekend.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, Champaign.
Nichole Millage of the city of Champaign announced on Tuesday afternoon that drivers are asked to enter Parkland from the Duncan Road entrance.
Items to be accepted include televisions, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, DVD players, VCRs, MP3 players, stereo equipment, speakers, telephones (both mobile and land-line), blenders, food processors, toasters, microwaves, hair dryers, curling irons, electric toothbrushes, electric razors, clocks, night lights, dehumidifiers and other small electronics.
But household waste, items that contain mercury, white goods (large appliances) and yard equipment will not be accepted.
