Nonprofits invited to apply for grants

URBANA — The Presence Covenant Medical Center Foundation is inviting nonprofit organizations to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.

The money is being offered under Covenant's FAITH2 program, or Fund to Accelerate Innovation Towards Healing and Hope, is a community endowment program that funds local organizations addressing health needs that align with Covenant's community benefit plan.

Last year, the program awarded $92,000 to Prosperity Gardens, the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Faith in Place, the East Central Illinois Refugee Mutual Assistance Center, Champaign County Health Care Consumers and Promise Healthcare.

This year, organizations have until May 2 to submit a letter of intent.
