State Farm Center live webcam up and running

The State Farm Center is the latest University of Illinois building to get its own live-streaming webcam.

The UI's Division of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the webcam on Thursday afternoon. It's online here.

The camera is mounted on the Memorial Stadium press box, across the street from the site where the State Farm Center is undergoing a $165 million renovation. A second webcam is planned for interior views of the renovation.

Other webcams on the UI campus include:

The Alma cam, which faces the newly returned Alma Mater sculpture near the corner of Green and Wright streets in Urbana. It had nearly 100,000 views in the first three weeks following the return of the campus icon from repairs at a suburban Chicago studio, as the UI's CITES folks announced on Twitter:

The Quad cam, which was engulfed by demand when the Ellen DeGeneres show filmed a segment there.

The Blue Waters facility, although the view is pretty static there.

And the construction at the new Electrical and Computer Engineering building.
