Prairieview-Ogden board sets prices

ROYAL — The Prairiview-Ogden school board this week approved keeping lunch prices the same next school year — $2.65 per lunch for students, $3 for adults.

The cost for registration/book fee, however, will increase. The fee was set at $95 per student — a $10 increase.

The board approved 2 percent pay increases for non-certified employees. Negotiations continue with teachers.

Also, the board approved designating the railroad tracks in Royal as a serious safety hazard, as required by Illinois Department of Transportation regulations. By approving the designation, the district is able to pick up all students on the west side of Royal with a school bus so they don't have to walk across the railroad tracks.
