Former judge not ruling out another elected job

A former federal judge in Urbana said he's not ruling out another run for an elected office.

Michael McCuskey stepped down from the bench last week and made an appearance Tuesday on A Penny For Your Thoughts on WDWS.

McCuskey said he's ready to move on from being a judge but isn't ready to fully retire.

McCuskey added that he isn't leaning toward practicing law but said he will step down as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Illinois State University at the end of the month.

As the person responsible for pushing the hiring of Tim Flanagin at ISU, you most certainly should step down from the Board of Trustees.
