Underage-drinking tickets issued at five Champaign bars

PESOTUM — The Illinois State Police released results of underage alcohol details in Champaign and Vermilion counties that happened last month.

On May 7, state police, assisted by Champaign police, checked five bars in Champaign and issued citations for underage drinking at all of them.

They were:

— It's Brothers, 613 E. Green St.; nine citations.

— Red Lion, 211 E. Green St.; six citations.

— Joe's Brewery, 706 S. Fifth St.; six citations.

— Kam's, 618 E. Daniel St.; three citations.

— The Highdive, 51-53 Main St.; one citation.

Another detail was conducted May 28 in Vermilion County. Thirteen businesses were checked, and citations were issued to four for selling alcohol to minors:

— Boone's Firehouse, 104 S. Main St., Rankin.

— La Casa Del Sol, 1010 W. Chestnut, Hoopeston.

— Casey's General Store, 115 E. Orange, Hoopeston.

— Casey's General Store, 112 S. Chicago, Rossville.
