G-RF hires firm to replace junior high bleachers

GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown-Ridge Farm school board voted to hire the Irwin Seating Co. of Altamont to replace the bleachers in Mary Miller Junior High School. Cost: about $49,520.

District employees will also replace 12 exterior windows at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School, install a heating and air-conditioning unit for the band room at Mary Miller, replace two main entrance doors art Pinecrest Elementary School and work with John Martin Plumbing, Heating & AC of Georgetown to replace the rooftop air-conditioning unit on the high school.

The board also voted to seek a full-time school nurse for the district.

The district's half-time nurse and full-time nurse clerk both left their jobs at the end of this past school year. Board members decided to pursue a full-time nurse, and to forego having a nurse clerk.
