RANTOUL — A woman was taken to an area hospital after her car hit a light pole late Saturday night in Rantoul.

According to a Rantoul police report, Sheryl Howell, 50, who listed an address in Rantoul, was driving east on Hobson Drive just east of Maplewood Drive when her vehicle flipped over and hit a light pole at 10:56 p.m. Sunday.
