UPDATE: Flood advisory issued for the area

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Champaign, northwestern Douglas, northern Moultrie, southern Piatt and Vermilion counties until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

At 10:02 p.m., National Weather Service radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the area.

Areas affected include Champaign, Danville, Monticello, Rantoul, Tuscola, Arthur, Atwood, Bement, Bethany, Broadlands, Catlin, Cerro Gordo, Dalton City, Fairmount, Fithian, Gifford, Hammond, Homer, Hoopeston, Long Creek, Lovington, Oakwood, Ogden, Oreana, Pesotum, Philo, Potomac, Rankin, Rossville and Savoy.
