The Village of Broadlands will be holding a 125th anniversary event on Aug. 15 and 16.

The village will host the Crazy Johnny from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 15.

On Aug. 16 the music will continue as Nickles and Dimes will perform from noon to 3 p.m. followed by Pet Box from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

There will be beer for sale as well as food from Bud's BBQ, Rick Reese catering, Homespun trinkets, Mom and Pop Kettlecorn, and AJ concessions.

Pony rides and children's games will also be offered.

The village has received a bid for repair of streets from Illiana Construction for $13,530. The bid was approved.

Also at the meeting, the board heard that construction at the elevator in Broadlands has caused damage to Lincoln street.

The board will be sending a letter to the elevator co-op regarding this issue, and the mayor will follow up.
