Police investigate armed robbery

CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating an armed robbery reported early Tuesday morning in Champaign.

According to police, officers were called at 1:39 a.m. to respond to a robbery at Circle K, 2315 W. Springfield Ave., C.

A 22-year-old Champaign man told police that a man walked into the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The robber took the money and ran away from the store.

The description of the robber was incomplete.
