Fundraisers/food

Barbecue supper/pie auction. 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Shiloh United Methodist Church, 352 County Road 2700 N., Mahomet. Annual barbecue supper, ice cream social and pie auction.

Hunger Jam. 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 3, Georgetown Fairgrounds, 413 N. Seminary, Georgetown. Annual Christian concert hosted by First Church of Christ to raise funds for local food pantries. Headliner, Manic Drive with guests, Ryan Stevenson, The Lasting Hope and the FCOC Worship Band. Bring a nonperishable item for the local food pantry. Admission $10 at the gate. Bach Vespers III. 5 p.m. Sunday,First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, 602 W. Green St. Urbana Bach Cantatas Project’s last in a series of three, free concerts/services of evening prayer that center around the sacred cantatas, choral motets and psalms of Johann Sebastian Bach. July 27, music for the meeting of the Town Council, featuring professional chorus, period instrument orchestra and organist Christopher Holman.

Gospel music service. 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Chestnut Street Church of Christ, 709 E. Chestnut St., Hoopeston. Featuring Bob and Marsha Grider as special guests at 5:45 p.m. with a singalong with service following at 6 p.m.

Gospel sing. 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Bismarck First Church of Christ, 100 Maiden Lane, Bismarck. Country gospel music provided by The Dave Borders Band.

Workshops/classes

First aid and CPR certification course. 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Urbana Baha’i Center, 807 E. Green St. The class is taught by Joel Swetin, a certified instructor. Participants will learn first aid for bleeding, burns, hypothermia, choking and CPR. The course is free and open to all, but space is limited to 12 participants.
