RTHS board approves teachers' pay increases

RANTOUL — Rantoul Township High School teachers, administrators and non-certified staff will receive average pay raises of 3 percent a year during the next three years.

The teacher pay hikes were approved following negotiations with the RTHS Education Association and school board representatives. The current agreement with teachers is due to expire this month.

The school board also approved administrative contracts for fiscal year 2015. All of the contracts, except for Superintendent Scott Amerio, are for one year. Amerio is in the second year of a three-year contract.
