Teen airlifted to hospital after four-wheeler crash

FISHER — A teen-ager was injured when he rolled the four-wheeler he was driving south of Fisher Saturday night.

Champaign County sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Sherrick said the accident happened about 7 p.m. on County Road 600 E just north of 2800 N, about two miles south of Fisher.

The 15-year-old from Fisher, whose name was not released, suffered a head injury and was taken by AirLife helicopter to Carle Foundation Hospital.

Sherrick said his injury was not believed to be life threatening.

He said the teen was driving south with a friend who was on a different four-wheeler. The teen got off the side of the road a bit, lost control and fell from the vehicle.

He was not wearing a helmet, Sherrick said.
