Updated: No injuries in house fire in Danville

DANVILLE — No one was injured Thursday afternoon in a house fire on Danville's southeast side.

Danville Public Safety Director Larry Thomason said a passerby called in a house fire at 12 p.m. Thursday at 101 Bremer Ave. in Danville. He said no one was at home at the time of the fire, and it took Danville firefighters about half an hour to get the blaze under control.

Thomason said the estimated loss to the house is about $50,000 and loss to contents is estimated at $20,000.

He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
