I'm intrigued by those ashtrays.

Did you ever consider that the area in the picture might just be a smoking area? Many bars have them,  I know you might be surprised to know that smoking is still legal in the state of Illinois. I have not been in this bar and you most likley have not either. But just to be on the safe side you and your buddy prof. Kaufman better get to Mahomet and ask if anyone is offended regardless of if they go the bar or not, and if they are  tell the bar owner you want the ashtrays removed!! Then come back here and tell us how that went.
