A follow-up to our story on Friday's Paint the Field Pink game at Oakwood:

Oakwood football coach WADE DeVRIES asks a lot of his players.

This week, that includes bringing empty milk jugs and whatever change they can scrounge to school.

"The plan is to put the change into the milk jugs and use them as shakers in the student section to make noise during the game," DeVries said. "This should be a great game, so we are working to create a great environment to go along with it."

But the best part takes place after the final whistle.

"We will take the change collected and donate it to the Comet Power of Pink group who puts on the 'Paint the Field Pink' night," DeVries said.
