On Tuesdays, we'll introduce the kids behind "High School Confidential." Today: Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley senior HAILEY RUTLEDGE.

As a member of GCMS' enthusiastic student cheering section — the Red Army — the senior will be rooting hard for the Falcons at Friday's Class 2A football title game in DeKalb.

"Not only will I be going to support my friends on the team, but I will also be there to support my dad (KIP), as he is one of the coaches," she said. "He has been pulling for this group of boys since they were in middle school and he has complete faith that this team will get the job done and bring home a first-place trophy."

Rutledge, 17, will take over our Snapchat account on Friday. Follow along by searching for "news-gazette" on the app.

"In my opinion, our student section is one of the best in the area," she said. "We travel well and are always out there no matter what the weather conditions are. A lot of my friends are seniors on the football team, and watching them excel in the sport they love has been really cool to watch."

Here's more on Hailey:

Best thing about GCMS is ... knowing that the teachers here genuinely want every student to succeed, and that the students here pick each other up when they’re down.

Next year, I'll be ... off to college and starting my college softball career.

In 10 years, I'll ... have a job that I love, be happily married, and be starting a family.
