'Youth Mental Health First Aid Training' event set in Danville

DANVILLE — The Vermilion County Mental Health 708 Board is hosting another "Youth Mental Health First Aid Training" for anyone who works with young people.

The free program, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 19. in the conference room at the Vermilion County Health Department, 200 S. College St., Danville, teaches participants strategies for dealing with youths experiencing a mental-health issue or crisis. The eight-hour program includes lunch, and participants also receive a free manual.
