Top of the Morning, Jan. 26, 2018

The ninth version of the Fighting Illini Jock Jams will include a Hall of Famer as a judge.

Former basketball star DERON WILLIAMS is scheduled to participate. He was part of the inaugural class of the Illinois Athletics Hall of Fame along with teammate DEE BROWN and 26 others.

The charity event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at Foellinger Auditorium.

Golfer DYLAN MEYER and soccer player JAELYN CUNNINGHAM are serving as hosts.

The talent show raises money for charities. This year's recipients include Camp Kesem, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Uplifting Athletes.

In its first eight years, Jock Jams raised more than $100,000.

On to my weekend recommendations:

"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 10:30 p.m., CBS

Tonight's guests include "Twin Peaks" star Kyle MacLachlan and one of my favorite sitcom actors, Deon Cole — Charlie from "Black-ish."

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC

Do you like Ron Burgundy, Buddy the Elf and Frank the Tank? Then you are going to to want to tune in to see Will Ferrell take his fourth turn as host. Before he became a big movie star, Ferrell made us laugh as an important part of the "SNL" cast. Chris Stapleton is the musical guest.

Grammy awards, 6:30 p.m., CBS

James Corden hosts the 60th anniversary show, which is held this year at New York's Madison Square Garden. Jay-Z leads with eight nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars with seven each.
