Just Askin' | Is Super Niro's Gyros closing?

Email questions to biz writer Ben Zigterman at bzigterman@news-gazette.com

This week: Why is there a Ramshaw Real Estate sign in front of Super Niro's Gyros? Is it closing?

BZ: It's not closing and is still open. There were customers there this week and workers there said they have no plans to close.

Noah Ruggieri, whose name is on the sign, said the owner of the Super Niro's Gyros at 608 W. Town Center Blvd., C, is gauging interest in the property.

"Anyone who buys the property is able to buy the business," Ruggieri said. "Or close it down and redevelop."

He said the sign has been up for a few months now.

Ruggieri said there's been some interest from people outside the community, but no deal yet.

"We've had a few bites, but nothing concrete," he said.

On the real estate website LoopNet, the 1.95-acre property has an asking price of $1.5 million.

"It's great frontage on that road there, and for redevelopment, there's space to put a strip center up front," Ruggieri said.
