Abused cat brought to Paxton clinic has recovered, found new home

PAXTON — A young male cat brought into the Paxton Veterinary Clinic about two months ago with signed hair and a swollen face has completed treatment and found a loving new home, where he's made friends with other pets.

"When (the new owner) first took him home, (Marvel) had no idea how to play and he didn't have a clue what a toy was. He just sat there," said clinic employee June Bane. "But now, she said he bats the toys around the house and he'll play with the other animals.

"He's got plenty of toys, and he gets along with the dog and the other cats in the house. And the dog is 75, 80 pounds."
