UPDATE: Danville man sought in double homicide

DANVILLE — Danville police are looking for a Danville man they believe to be responsible for a double homicide that occurred early Saturday at a motorcycle club in the city.

Three people were shot about 2 a.m. in the altercation at the Untouchables Motorcycle Club, 106 Commercial St., according to Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason.

Two men, ages 23 and 17, were killed. A 36-year-old man was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. All three are from Danville.

By 6 a.m. Saturday, Thomason said, police had obtained a warrant for the arrest of Deontae N. Bright, 18, of Danville. Bond on the warrant was set at $5 million.

Thomason said police were called to the club around 2 a.m. for shots fired. The club sits on 40 acres, which includes a race track, on the city's south side.

"Officers arriving found three male victims believed to have been shot," Thomason said. "The individuals were found outside on the grounds of the club and medical transport was called for. Two of the victims were later pronounced deceased and the third was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries."

Thomason said the names of the victims are not being released pending notification of family by the Vermilion County coroner's office.

He said no other information is being released as the investigation continues.

A member of the club said the Untouchables were hosting an event this weekend. The club's Facebook page advertised a "Father's Day Weekend Annual Field Meet" for Friday through Sunday. The club member said activities were to include a dance Saturday night and a race on Sunday.

He said some people had gathered for a party on Friday night, and there was a shooting outside of the club in the early hours of the morning.

He said it didn't involve any members or their guests, but people who had come on to the property.
