Urbana police union collecting supplies for elementary students

URBANA — Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 70 is seeking supplies to help elementary school children in Urbana.

Donations are being accepted in the lobby of the Urbana Police Department, 400 S. Vine St., until Aug. 10.

Among the items sought: Elmer's glue sticks; bottles of glue; blue and black pens; highlighters; Crayola washable thin and thick markers; 24-count Crayola crayons; eight-count Washable Crayola markers; dry-erase markers and small boards; Crayola colored pencils; pink erasers; Ziploc snack-, sandwich- and gallon-size freezer/storage bags; facial tissues; scissors; pencil bags; plastic boxes; wide-ruled paper; Post-It Notes; 3-by-5-inch notecards; single-subject spiral wide-ruled notebooks; sturdy pocket folders; plastic folders; headphones; new or gently used backpacks; bleach-free Wet Wipes; and hand sanitizer.
