Danville police investigating armed robbery of pizza delivery driver

DANVILLE — Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Papa John's Pizza delivery driver Tuesday night.

Cmdr. Josh Webb said officers were called to the incident in the 1000 block of Giddings Street at 9:48 p.m.

Webb said the victim told them she was making a delivery to a residence in that block when she was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a knife and demanded money and the food she was delivering. They took an undisclosed amount of money and the food and ran away.

Webb said no one was injured during the incident.
