National Council of Negro Women's game-night fundraiser set Oct. 6

URBANA — The Champaign County section of the National Council of Negro Women is hosting a game night for its next fundraiser.

It will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Urbana Civic Center, 108 E. Water St., U, and will include door prizes, a 50-50 raffle, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, music, dancing and floor games.

Tickets are $20.

The National Council of Negro Women is a nonprofit organization with a mission to lead, empower and advocate for women, their families and communities.

Past programs and organizations supported by the Champaign County section have included Annie's House of Hope, Black Chorus at Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp, Bottom Line Diaper Bank, Dream Girls Academy, Mo' Betta Music Academy, NAACP ACT-SO programs, Gthe .O.A.L.S. Project, Restoration Urban Ministries, TALKS Mentoring, the Martin Luther King Fund, Women's Safe House, the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center and the CUperstars Program.
