Streets near Memorial Stadium to be closed during UI convocation

CHAMPAIGN — Some streets around Memorial Stadium will be closed to traffic Friday during the University of Illinois' new-student convocation.
Kirby Avenue from First to Fourth street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and First from Kirby to Peabody Drive will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
