Danville police investigating armed robbery of pizza delivery driver

DANVILLE — Danville police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Tuesday night.

Cmdr. Josh Webb said the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Glenwood Street.

The victim told police that as he was making a delivery to a residence, a man approached him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money and the food he was delivering. Then, he said, three more people appeared and took an undisclosed amount of cash from his vehicle along with the food. All four then ran away.

The victim said the people who robbed him were all wearing masks and hoodies pulled over their heads.

No one was injured during the incident.
