Recipients of Time magazine's Person of the Year honor booked for speaking gigs this month at Foellinger Auditorium.

Fresh off last week's appearance by BARACK OBAMA, UI officials announced Tuesday that TARANA BURKE will speak to students at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18.

You may not recognize the name, but we bet you've heard of the phrase the New York social activist came up with in 2006 — "Me Too," or as it's better known in social-media circles, #MeToo.

Burke was among the group of "silence breakers" who shared the distinction of being Time's 2017 Person of the Year in December. She was back four months later — and this time on the cover — when she was named to Time's 100 Most Influential People list.

Her free lecture on campus is open to any UI student with an i-Card.
