CHAMPAIGN — During Monday's heat wave, customers craving a cool Frosty from Wendy's had one fewer place to turn as the store on North Prospect Avenue was closed for maintenance.

Signs on the doors at 2033 N. Prospect Ave., C, said "Closed," but the store is set to reopen Tuesday, unlike its former colleague on South Neil Street that closed permanently a couple weeks ago.

That store, in the Carriage Center development, is available for lease for $32 per square foot, according to its listing on Coldwell Banker Commercial Devonshire Realty.

The South Neil Wendy's took up 3,060 square feet of the 5,260-square-foot building also occupied by AT&T.

The location at 505 N. Cunningham Ave., U, remains open, and there are no reports of it closing either temporarily or permanently.
