UPDATE: Police identify six offenders suspected in gang violence

On the heels of a community meeting to discuss an uptick in gang violence, Champaign County law enforcement released a list of six offenders.

Police say the men have arrest warrants and are associated with gangs. They are:

— Eric D. Kirk, 32, of Champaign (right).

Kirk’s last known address was in the 1600 block of Sheffield Road. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 153 pounds and has an arrest warrant for a parole violation. There is no bond.

— Shamario Brown, 20, of Urbana (left).

Brown's last known address was in the 800 block of East Kerr Avenue. He is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has an arrrest warrant for a parole violation. There is no bond.

— Jamar Vincent Lewis, 28, of Champaign (right).

Lewis’ last known address was in the 800 block of North State Street. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has an arrest warrant for a probation violation. His bond has been set at $50,000.

— Kenichi Townsend, 23, of Champaign (left).

Townsend's last known address was in the 3600 block of Colleen Drive. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has an arrest warrant for felony aggravated battery. His bond has been set at $25,000.

— Qwantrell L. Ayres, 28, of Urbana (right).

Ayres’ last known address was in the 400 block of South Dodson Drive. He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has an arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $5,000.

— Equarieon L. Jeter, 21, of Champaign (left).

Jeter’s last known address was in the 2000 block of North Mattis Avenue. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 153 pounds and has an arrest warrant for resisting or obstructing a police officer. His bond has been set at $1,000.
