Investigation: Shots fired in West Champaign

CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating a shots fired incident on Champaign's west side.

Champaign police said they were called to the 300 block of Kenwood Road at 11:50 a.m. Sunday.

Crime scene investigators were at the scene Sunday afternoon taking photos of the crime scene. Police tape had been put up in the area.

Champaign police spokesman Thomas Yelich told The News-Gazette Sunday night that there were no injuries.

Yelich said that nobody had been arrested, and no other information would be available at this time.

Champaign police Sgt. Aaron Lack said the incident is under investigation.
