Danville investigating armed robbery of pizza delivery driver

DANVILLE — Police are investigating the alleged armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Thursday.

At 8:48 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 1400 block of East Fairchild Street, where a Monical's Pizza driver told them that three men approached him while he was attempting to make a delivery. He said one had a handgun, and they robbed him of cash, his cellphone and the pizzas he was delivering.

The victim described the suspects as young-looking, possibly teenagers. One was wearing a dark blue jacket and a black ski mask; another was wearing a green jacket. The victim had no description for the third.

All three were last seen running east from the area. No injuries were reported . The investigation continues, and no other information is being released at this time.
