Arrest made in murder of St. Joseph woman

DANVILLE — An 18-year-old Danville man has been arrested in connection with the death of a St. Joseph woman earlier this month.

Public Safety Director Larry Thomason said Danville detectives arrested Henry D. Graham Friday afternoon for the first-degree murder of Tara Jackson.

The 29-year-old mother of two was found dead on Jan. 3 in a motel in the 300 block of Lynch Drive on Danville's east side.

Thomason said authorities believe she may have been strangled.

"He was an acquaintance. They did know each other," Thomason said.

Thomason said Graham became a "subject of interest through evidence that was collected" during the investigation but he did not want to share other details.

Graham is being held without bond and is expected to be arraigned on Sunday.
