The current edition of News-Gazette Media's At Home in Central Illinois is now available.

Editor Christine Walsh, who's been in charge of the quarterly magazine since April, says there's plenty to like in this issue.

Among the highlights:

"One of the homes we feature is a huge house in Gibson City that dates back to 1909," Walsh said. "Its owners, Frank and Lynne Titus, gave it an extensive renovation and addition and even built a beautiful apartment over their garage to live in while the work was being done. They furnished it with gorgeous antiques that blend right in with the traditional home's style. Book lovers will covet the floor-to-ceiling shelves in Lynne's home library!"

Walsh says another house "is total eye-candy!"

"Another home we visit is Arik and Ashlee Bruens' Hoopeston abode that looks like a castle on the outside and has a fun, colorful look inside. My favorite part of this one was an Italian bistro-style rooftop deck they built over their garage."

There's not much time to catch her breath as Walsh is hard at work on upcoming issues of Central Illinois Business (out Feb. 1) and I Do (out April 1).

CIB will feature local filmmaker and marketing entrepreneur Robin Chrtistian, while I Do will explore trends in cakes and invitations.
