Crime Stoppers | Wanted: People behind shooting at Urbana Casey's

URBANA — Champaign County Crime Stoppers needs help finding the people responsible for a shooting at an Urbana gas station earlier this month that left one man wounded.

About 11:51 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, police were sent to the Casey's General Store, 2100 E. University Ave., for shots fired.

They found a man with a gunshot wound to the arm and bullet casings.

Three people were sitting in a vehicle at the gas pumps waiting for a fourth who was walking back toward them.

While that was happening, shots were fired near the side of the gas station.

Several rounds hit the vehicle; the Rantoul man wounded in the arm was inside the vehicle.

If you have any information on this shooting, contact Crime Stoppers at 217-373-TIPS, or via the P3 Tips mobile app.

Tipsters are always completely anonymous when contacting Crime Stoppers.

All tips are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service.

Tipsters will never be asked their name and are given a secret code number to use when checking on a possible reward.

Cash rewards of up to $1,000 may be paid on tips that lead to an arrest.

Crime Stoppers reminds the public that its "Gun Bounty Reward" program is ongoing.

Anyone who provides a tip that leads to the arrest of a person who uses a gun during a felony will receive a $1,000 reward.
