Top of the Morning, March 19, 2019

Last March, the men's basketball players from Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz., promised the feisty residents of Liberty Village that they'd visit again should they qualify for the 2019 NJCAA National Tournament in Danville.

Guess who'll be stopping by this afternoon?

Pima is back and in action on Day 1 — both on the court (11 a.m. tipoff; pairings in Sports) and at the retirement community (cookies and conversation at 3 p.m.). They were such a hit last spring that several residents returned the favor and cheered them on at Danville Area Community College (Pima finished second).

It's another reason why Danville and the tournament — in town for the last 26 years — are such a good fit.
