A: On Saturday, May 18.

Registration opened last week for the event at ecycle.simplybook.me.

The event runs from 9:45 a.m. to noon at Parkland College, where volunteers will help unload items.

Residents in participating communities can sign up for 15-minute slots.

The communities participating include Bondville, Broadlands, Champaign, Fisher, Gifford, Homer, Ivesdale, Ludlow, Mahomet, Ogden, Rantoul, Royal, Sadorus, Savoy, Sidney, St. Joseph, Thomasboro, Tolono, Urbana and unincorporated Champaign County.

Residents in Foosland, Longview, Pesotum and Philo are not eligible to register to participate.

After people register, they'll receive a postcard in the mail that will be their ticket to the event.

Residents can bring up to four TVs and seven items total. The TVs can be of any model or size, including CRT TVs.

Most electronics are accepted, though certain items like stereo speakers, refrigerators and vacuum cleaners are not.

A full list of accepted and not accepted items is online at the sign-up page.

The event is hosted by Champaign County, the cities of Champaign and Urbana, and the village of Savoy.
