Indiana man gets 25 years for molesting child at friends' house in Danville

DANVILLE — An Indiana man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for molesting a child whose house he was staying at last year.

Johnathon R. Trammell, 29, previously of Williamsport, Ind., pleaded guilty Monday to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony. Under truth-in-sentencing laws, he must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. He will also be required to register for life as a sexual predator.

The offense occurred between April and August of 2018 while Trammell was staying with friends at their home on Pennsylvania Street in Danville.

Prosecutors said a child in the home reported that Trammell had committed acts of sexual contact with him.

The case was investigated by the Danville Police Department.
