In 1919, area farmers raising Holsteins decide to form the Champaign County Holstein Breeders' Association during a meeting at the Farm Bureau Headquarters.

In 1969, Central and Centennial high school building trades students completed construction of a new house at 807 Frank Drive, Champaign. The house would be sold by sealed bids.

In 2004, Savoy Director of Public Works Frank Rentschler told the U.S. 45 Corridor Steering Committee that the state intended to install full traffic signals at U.S. 45 and Monticello Road.
