Crime Stoppers | Two who allegedly stole $1.6K of clothing from Carter's sought

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign County Crime Stoppers needs help solving a shoplifting crime at a Market Place Mall store.

About 11:48 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, a man and woman entered Carter's and began putting items in bags and in the woman's purse, police said.

The couple allegedly left with more than $1,600 worth of stolen clothing.

Both are described as black. The man is about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and was wearing a blue track suit. The woman is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 170 pounds and was wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, black pants, and carrying a maroon purse.

The couple was caught on video, and investigators need help identifying them.
