Reports: Ferguson grand jury has reached decision

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Media outlets citing unidentified sources are reporting that the grand jury considering whether Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson should be charged in the death of Michael Brown has reached a decision.

The Associated Press was not able to confirm the reports Monday afternoon.

Sheriff: Robin Williams hanged himself

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) — Robin Williams committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt at his San Francisco Bay Area home, sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

Marin County Sheriff’s Lt. Keith Boyd said Williams’ personal assistant found the actor Monday in a bedroom at his Tiburon home. The actor also had superficial cuts on his wrist, and a pocketknife was found nearby.

Ebola outbreak has UI's attention

The Ebola outbreak in Africa has prompted the University of Illinois to suspend study-abroad programs in Sierra Leone this fall and plan some extra screening for international students arriving from West Africa.

URBANA — Local Palestinian sympathizers plan to hold a "Rally for Gaza" on Friday afternoon in front of the Urbana City Building.

"It's a Palestinian rally. I'm hoping that nobody say anything about the Israelis," said Patsy Howell, an event organizer. "I'm sure we'll have signs asking the government to not give more money to Israel. But this is an informational rally."
