MAHOMET – Christina Dee Tarter, 44, of Mahomet passed away at 8:38 p.m. Wednesday (May 21, 2008) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Community Free Church, 102 W. Riverbend Blvd., Mahomet. The Reverend Tim Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, is handling arrangements.

Christina was born Nov. 8, 1963, in Urbana, a daughter of William and Barbara Hedrick Anderson. She married Ronnie M. Tarter. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 2000.

Survivors include her parents, William (Rosemary) Anderson of Champaign and Barbara Myers of Tuscola; fiance, Kenneth E. Householder of Mahomet; one son, Dustin (fiance Danielle Powers) Tarter of Champaign; four stepdaughters, Stacey (Kane) Beaumont and Jenifer Tarter, both of Mahomet, Amy (Tim) Williams of Riverview and Kelli (Kale) Smith of Urbana; one grandson, Taylor Ronnie Tarter of Champaign; six stepgrandchildren, Paige Beaumont of Mahomet, Brandon Tarter of Mahomet, Brienne Williams and River Williams, both of Riverview, and Kelsey Smith and Kaleb Smith of Urbana; one brother, Steven (Patty) Anderson of Mahomet; two sisters, Mary Beth (Tom) Shores and Patricia (Noel) Hinton, both of Mahomet; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Anderson, and one stepgranddaughter, Chelsey Smith.

Christina graduated from Champaign Central High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Community Free Church of Mahomet. She enjoyed reading, pets, cooking and baking. She was an avid NASCAR, Chicago Cubs and National Football League fan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society, 1911 E. Main St., U., IL 61802.
